Charlotte Stewart-Jones, senior associate, represents clients on high value, complex cross-border litigation, international arbitrations and investigations. She advises a broad range of clients across several industries, including energy, financial services, insurance and private equity. Clients turn to Charlotte for her experience in energy disputes, business protection litigation and corporate/post M&A disputes. She has also advised clients on employment disputes.  

• Acting for a UK insurance group on business protection litigation arising from an unlawful means conspiracy.
• Acted for a listed South American oil and gas company on two arbitrations involving claims under joint operating agreement and sale and purchase agreements involving participating interests in excess of USD 1 billion.
• Advised several energy companies on potential disputes arising from sale and purchase agreements and joint operating agreements.
• Advised a Brazilian energy company on a contractual dispute concerning the termination of a project for the construction and operation of a green ammonia plant.
• Advised private equity clients on breach of warranty claims.
• Advised a private equity client on two unfair prejudice petitions brought by minority shareholders.
• Acted for the joint liquidators of a construction company in a USD 1 billion claim against former directors for unlawful means conspiracy, misfeasance and breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent and/or wrongful trading, breach of directors’ duties, unconscionable receipt and dishonest assistance.
• Advised on the appointment of administrators over a company on behalf of one of its creditors in connection with potentially fraudulent transactions.
