Geral
Dr. Dylan Geraets advises multinational companies, sovereigns, and industry associations on the full spectrum of international trade and EU regulatory matters. Clients turn to him for assistance on ESG-and-trade regulation, customs and excise, WTO and free trade agreement (FTA) dispute settlement, EU sanctions and export controls (including FDI screening), and proceedings before the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). Dylan combines EU-level policy insight with ground-level enforcement experience, enabling him to guide clients across the full regulatory life cycle – from legislative monitoring and advocacy through implementation, compliance, and enforcement.
Dylan’s practice focuses on EU regulatory advisory, enforcement readiness, and advocacy. He advises leading multinational clients on the EU legislative process and implementation of major EU instruments, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the EU Forced Labour Regulation (EUFLR), the EU Methane Regulation (EUMR), the F-Gas Regulation, and the reform of the Union Customs Code (UCC). Dylan also advises on instruments adopted or negotiated as part of the EU's push for Strategic Autonomy, such as the FDI Screening Regulation, the Foreign Subsidies Regulation, the Anti-Coercion Instrument, and the Industrial Accelerator Act.
