Constanza Burguete

Constanza advises on business protection, including post-termination restrictions and their enforcement. She negotiates senior executive exits and settlement agreements. She supports corporate transactions with employment due diligence and TUPE advice. She advises employers on restructuring and redundancy exercises. She also coordinates multi-jurisdictional employment projects. She has an interest in how AI tools can benefit clients and uses them to support her work on larger-scale projects.

Constanza recognises that employment issues are often personal and sensitive, and supports HR teams, managers and employees through difficult processes with care and discretion. She trains HR teams and general counsel on neuro-inclusion, reasonable adjustments and preventing sexual harassment at work.

Before joining Mayer Brown, Constanza trained and practised at another international law firm in London. She oversaw legal operations for a charity whose work prompted an Ofsted review of sexual abuse in schools and colleges. Its work also led to policy reforms and a Prime Minister's Points of Light Award. She also acts for pro bono clients in the charity sector. Constanza speaks fluent Spanish.
