Mayer Brown partners Tom Perez and Ken Wainstein are featured in this article discussing growing law firm investments in State AG practices. "Simply stated, AGs are a very dominant force in law enforcement, and clients want to make sure that they are well served," said Tom Perez. Tom co-chairs Mayer Brown's state AG task force with Ken Wainstein, the former leader of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's intelligence office. Mayer Brown represents clients being targeted in enforcement actions, as well as state governments as they pursue cases. For instance, along with members of the Nevada Attorney General's Office, the firm is currently representing Nevada in its battle with prediction market platform Kalshi over the company's sports wagers.
