Mayer Brown has been named a 2024 “Champion for Children” by Children’s Law Center (CLC) for the eighth consecutive year. This award acknowledges the philanthropy of law firms and corporations to CLC, which helps improve the lives of children and families in Washington DC.

"We are honored to receive this recognition from a long-standing partner," said Andrew Olmem, managing partner of Mayer Brown's Washington DC office. “Mayer Brown is dedicated to serving our community, and through our work with CLC, we are committed to helping children thrive and achieve their full potential.”

"Our long-term partnership with Mayer Brown has been a cornerstone in our work to improve the lives of DC children and families,” said CLC Executive Director Judith Sandalow. “This incredible eighth consecutive Champions for Children win reflects [the firm’s] dedication to expanding access to justice – and represents a year in which their significant financial support and pro bono advocacy helped make possible our first class-action lawsuit to ensure thousands of students with disabilities have access to education.”

CLC, the largest nonprofit legal services provider in Washington DC, collaborates with local children and families, community organizations, and pro bono lawyers to build a strong foundation in family, health, and education, aiming to promote a world free from poverty, trauma, and oppression.
