UK Weekly Sanctions Update - Week of April 7, 2026

OTSI expands its licensing remit: On 9 April 2026, OTSI confirmed that it will be expanding its licensing role. From 27 April 2026, OTSI will become responsible for licensing sanctioned goods and associated ancillary services for export to sanctioned destinations. Licensing goods and ancillary services which are subject to both strategic export controls and sanctions, as well as goods and ancillary services subject to export controls only, remain the responsibility of the ECJU.
