Golden Apple Foundation's 2020 Scholar Induction Ceremony

Mayer Brown Restructuring partner Louis Chiappetta gave a speech for the Golden Apple Foundation’s 2020 Scholar Induction Ceremony on June 27, 2020.

The Golden Apple Scholars of Illinois program prepares highly-effective, diverse teachers to teach in the most challenging school environments in our state. These Scholars remain in teaching at much higher rates than teachers prepared by any other program. Right now, due to the serious teacher shortage in Illinois school districts and the clear need for educators who are prepared to teach in both in-person and virtual environments, the work of the Golden Apple Scholars Program is more important than ever.
