Mergers and Acquisitions: Stephen has extensive experience in representing buyers, target companies and sellers in connection with acquisitions of insurers and reinsurers and of lines of business, renewal rights and blocks of business as well as MGAs. His work includes representing publicly traded acquirors and targets, as well as private equity funds and strategic buyers/sellers in negotiated private transactions.

Insurance Risk-Linked Securities, Sidecars and Structured Reinsurance: Stephen has served as transaction counsel in numerous insurance risk-linked securities offerings, sidecars and other structured financings, many of which broke new ground in the insurance industry. He has advised on the first securitization of life insurance regulatory reserves; the first securitization of insurance policy loans; the first securitization of PE investment portfolios and over 200 sidecars and insurance risk-linked securities offerings.
