Mayer Brown advises America’s Car-Mart on $300 million term loan facility to enhance capital structure
Mayer Brown served as legal counsel to America’s Car-Mart, Inc., in connection with the closing of a new five-year, $300 million funded term loan facility provided by funds managed by Silver Point Capital, L.P.
The transaction strengthens America’s Car-Mart’s capital structure by replacing its then existing asset-backed line of credit, simplifying the balance sheet, and providing a more flexible and scalable financing platform to support long-term growth and general corporate purposes.
Jonathan Collins, chief financial officer of America’s Car-Mart, stated, "We're truly grateful to the Mayer Brown team for helping us execute on this pivotal transaction for the company."
The Mayer Brown team was led by Banking & Finance partner Brian Kent and included: Banking & Finance partners Tristan Propst, Blaise Latella, Angela Ulum, Melissa Kilcoyne, and David Bakst, and associates Laura Lee and Ugochi Ihenatu; Restructuring partner Joaquin C de Baca; and Tax associate Xiao Xiao. The team was based in the firm’s New York, Houston, and Chicago offices.
