Brian Trudgen joins Mayer Brown in Chicago, further enhancing firm’s market leading leveraged finance and private capital capabilities

CHICAGO – Mayer Brown announced that Brian Trudgen has joined the Chicago office as a partner in its Global Leveraged Finance and Private Capital Group. He joins from Jones Day. 

"We are delighted to welcome Brian, who brings more than two decades of practice and a wealth of experience advising clients, including a number of large and important financial institutions, private credit firms, and public and private companies on a variety of complex financings,” said Fred Fisher, co-head of the Global Leveraged Finance and Private Capital Group. “His addition strongly aligns with our dedication to continue to build our existing best in class finance practice and our strategic goal of adding depth to a number of key areas where we see continued growth, specifically within banks and other regulated financial institutions and private credit markets.”

Brian has been a key advisor to a number of clients in a broad range of financing matters across various structures and industries, including manufacturing, technology, energy, gaming, government contracting, transportation, and financial services. He has extensive experience in structuring and negotiating various financing arrangements, such as investment-grade unsecured credits, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, asset-based lending, and variety of in and out-of-court restructurings.

Brian is the latest partner to join Mayer Brown’s Banking & Finance practice following the recent hiring of Blaise Latella, Sheel Patel, Rudgee Charles, and Jeff O'Connor.
