Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises Neoenergia on the sale of equity interest in wind power generation company to Nexus Ligas

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Neoenergia on the sale of an equity interest in Canoas 3, a wind power generation company located in the state of Paraíba, Brazil, to Nexus Ligas, a manganese alloys producer. The transaction also included the signing of a 10-year power purchase agreement under a self-production arrangement.

The deal was approved by the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) in June 2025.

The team advising Neoenergia was led by partners Bruno Salzano and Débora Yanasse, with support from associates Luisa Tortolano and Caio Uliana, all from the Energy, Corporate and M&A practices.
