Tauil & Chequer Advogados advises Banco Master on distribution of CRIs worth R$ 140 million

Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Banco Master on the public distribution of 140,000 Real Estate Receivables Certificates (CRIs), all nominative and book-entry, in a single series, 70,000 of them from the 252nd issuance and 70,000 from the 284th issuance of True Securitizadora, totaling R$ 140 million, under the terms of Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) Resolution 160.
The first operation is backed by real estate credits from the second private issuance of commercial notes, in a single series, and CRIs 284 are backed by real estate credits from the third private issuance of commercial notes, in a single series, by LA Shopping Centers S.A., advised by lawyers from BTLAW (Barcellos Tucunduva Advogados).
The net proceeds from the issuances will be used directly by LA Shopping to pay the balance of the acquisition price and expenses related to the acquisition of certain shopping centers, as well as maintenance, expansion and refurbishment expenses for the aforementioned shopping centers.
Participating in this deal were partner Bruno Cerqueira and associate Camila Torelli, both from the Capital Markets & Securitization practice.
