Mayer Brown's Dominique Shelton Leipzig named to IAPP's AI Governance Advisory Board

Mayer Brown partner Dominique Shelton Leipzig was named to the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP)’s just-launched AI Governance Center Advisory Board.

According to IAPP, the advisory board will support its new AI Governance Center, which aims to serve as a network and educational resource for professionals who are tasked with AI governance, risk and compliance around the world. The board is comprised of a broad array of public and private sector executives in AI governance “who have been leading the conversation on the future of AI.”

“I look forward to building this professional community to ensure that AI frameworks and principles are implemented across organizations in a way that enhances responsible data stewardship, builds digital trust and helps companies lead into the future,” said Dominique. “This issue is crucial for boards and their CEOs.”

Dominique leads the firm’s Global Data Innovation group, which is dedicated to advising CEOs and boards on data issues. She also leads the firm’s Ad Tech Privacy & Data Management team. Dominique has more than 30 years of experience helping clients navigate the evolving legal compliance issues related to privacy and data security for their digital data initiatives. She provides strategic privacy and cyber-preparedness compliance advice, and defends, counsels and represents companies on privacy, global data security compliance, data breaches and investigations. She also advises clients on generative AI governance and compliance.
