Joydeep Sengupta discusses the corporate settlement guidelines issued on January 16, 2023 by France’s Parquet National Financier (PNF), i.e., the French National Financial Prosecutor’s Office. “It is clear the PNF wants companies to entire into a dialogue with them”, said Joydeep Sengupta at Mayer Brown in Paris. “Prosecutors are offering tangible incentives to encourage companies to self-disclose potential violations.”
