Mayer Brown announced today that Dr. Andrea Pomana joined the Firm as a partner in its Antitrust & Competition practice in Brussels. She joins from Advant Beiten, in Frankfurt, where she was a partner.

“Andrea is a trusted advisor in complex and cross-border transactions with experience that spans more than 15 years in antitrust,” said Britt Miller, co-head of the Firm’s global Antitrust & Competition practice. “Her experience, reputation and relationships are a great addition as we continue to build our presence globally and expand our antitrust and compliance capabilities for clients.”

Andrea’s experience includes merger control, antitrust investigations, compliance and compliance management systems and foreign direct investment. She has acted for a number of well-known clients, and is entrusted with complex and cross-border transactions and market dominance cases.

“Andrea’s strong reputation in the European antitrust community, built through her work in Brussels and Frankfurt, is a terrific addition to our growing team,” said  Christian Horstkotte, head of the Antitrust practice in Germany and co-leader of the Firm’s European Antitrust practice. “With her hire we continue to expand our Brussels presence and strengthen our integrated European team, from which our clients will benefit.”

In June 2022, Aymeric de Moncuit also joined Mayer Brown’s Brussels office as a partner in the Antitrust & Competition practice.
