Revised Brazilian Data Protection Law Published

Law No. 13.853/2019 altering the Brazilian Data Protection Law was published in the Federal Official Gazette on July 9, 2019, implementing the changes from Provisionary Measure No. 869/2018, which was sanctioned by former president Michel Temer in late 2018. We provide a summary of each veto and the reason given for each.
