Angeli Sunmonu is a senior associate in the Banking & Finance practice of the London office, having joined Mayer Brown in 2008 as a trainee.
Angeli has extensive experience in advising lenders and corporates on complex cross-border trade receivables and auto-loan securitisations and has advised issuers and underwriters on the issuance of standalone bonds and the establishment and updating of Medium Term Note Programmes. She has also worked on and coordinated a number of multi-jurisdictional securitisation, cross-border finance, security and regulatory/licensing advisory projects.
Angeli completed a nine-month secondment to HSBC Bank plc (August 2011 – May 2012), where she advised on various aspects of derivative transactions, including corporate equity, structured commodity, energy and emerging market derivatives and proprietary indices.
