Mayer Brown has again been named to Global Investigations Review (GIR)’s “GIR 30” list, an elite list of the firms with the strongest international investigations practices as part of its annual “GIR 100” guide to the world’s leading cross-border investigations firms. This marks the seventh consecutive year that the firm has been named to the list.

The publication noted the firm’s extensive experience representing high-profile clients in high-stakes international matters, particularly in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act space. According to the publication, the firm’s “investigations practice has honed a specialty for foreign bribery cases” with highly experienced lawyers in offices throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Additionally, Joydeep Sengupta was honored as the worldwide recipient of the “GIR Award for Services to Diversity."

GIR also highlighted individual lawyers who were recognized in the publication’s 2021 special surveys, including Jason Linder, who was named to the “FCPA Practitioners to Watch” list, and Nicolette Kost de Sèvres, who was named to the “Women in Investigations” list. GIR cited the firm’s strategic hiring of former federal prosecutors, including Gina Parlovecchio, Michael Levy, Glen Kopp, Daniel Stein as well as Jason Linder.

Mayer Brown’s global investigations team includes former government officials and compliance lawyers with decades of experience representing and advising companies and individuals on a wide range of multinational investigations and litigations.

GIR is a news service providing comprehensive coverage of the law and practice of international investigations. Based on extensive research, GIR editors rank the 30 top firms through a rigorous vetting process in which firms are evaluated across several categories, including former government enforcers and global reach, with a particular focus on the depth and breadth of investigations handled by the firms in the last two years.
