Share

The ABA Banking Law Committee is holding its 2021 Annual Meeting virtually and will offer over several interactive programs by leading industry practitioners.

Public Policy, Regulatory & Political Law partner Andrew Olmem (Washington DC) will participate on a panel discussing the implications of the 2020 election for the financial services agencies, the administration, Congress and federal and state financial services regulatory and supervisory policy both domestically and globally.

Financial Services Regulatory & Enforcement associate Matthew Bisanz (Washington DC) will moderate a panel discussing developments in bank charter choice and the prospect of tech and fintech firms entering into parts of the business of banking through alternative charter options, such as those developed in Wyoming and by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. This panel also will explore how some firms (and regulators) are navigating the challenges associated with these new approaches to banking.
