On 4 January 2022, the new UK FDI regime came into force in the form of the UK National Security and Investment Act. The Act is very similar to the US CFIUS regime, and its enactment is an important development for businesses with operations in the UK and their potential investors and acquirers.
Now that the Act has been in effect for a few weeks, during this session, partners Jason Hungerford, Timothy Keeler and Tamer Soliman will outline the parallels that can be drawn between the UK Act and the US CFIUS regime, and what impact this has on current and ongoing deals.
