Overview

Clients rely on Elizabeth Veit Osborne for representation in the financing of loans secured by commercial and residential real estate. Liz advises a wide range of clients, including commercial banks, investment banks and life insurance companies, in a variety of commercial real estate lending transactions such as bridge loans, construction loans, conduit loans, mezzanine loans, loan participations and assumptions, loan modifications and restructurings, and repurchase (warehouse) facilities. Liz counsels lenders through all stages of the commercial real estate lending cycle with a particular focus on administration of repurchase (warehouse) facilities and other types of secured credit facilities collateralized by commercial and residential real estate loans. Before joining Mayer Brown, Liz worked for a prominent international law firm representing private equity firms and public companies in complex financing transactions, including syndicated senior credit facilities, second lien financing, asset-based loans, acquisition finance, leveraged finance and securitizations and in private equity fund formation.
