Overview

Joanna Nicholas is counsel in Mayer Brown's Chicago office. She is a member of Mayer Brown’s Structured Finance, Banking & Finance and CLO and CDO practices and advises initial purchasers, placement agents, issuers and asset managers of structured finance transactions and other complex financings. Joanna focuses on securitizations of institutional leveraged loans known as collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), including new-issue CLOs, resets, refinancings and warehouse facilities. In addition, Joanna represents clients with respect to purchases, sales and servicing of residential mortgage loans, including repurchase facilities. Joanna has practiced at Mayer Brown for over a dozen years in addition to serving as in-house counsel for a major airline carrier for several years.
