Overview

Clients turn to Jared Goldberger for U.S. tax and strategic advice on matters concerning disclosure to tax authorities and other governmental agencies.  Specifically, Jared counsels U.S. and non-U.S. banks, trust companies, investment funds, and other financial institutions with respect to all U.S. information reporting and withholding issues, including FATCA and the qualified intermediary (QI) regime.  Jared represents clients on issues relating to tax investigations, potential tax evasion, and tax audits and controversies.

Jared regularly advises financial institutions, investment funds and corporate borrowers on the tax aspects of cross-border and domestic financing transactions, including subscription-backed credit facilities, NAV facilities, hybrid credit facilities, bi-lateral loans and other acquisition financing arrangements.  Jared also counsels clients on the tax aspects of debt and equity offerings, U.S. and non-U.S. financial instruments and other capital markets transactions.

Jared frequently writes and speaks on information reporting and withholding topics.
