Overview
Louise Fernandes-Owen is the global professional support lawyer for the Employment & Benefits Group.
Recently shortlisted for the PSL/Knowledge Award by the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2018, Louise designs and develops a wide range of global tools and resources for our clients, regularly shaping technology to deliver innovative solutions.
Louise developed and coordinated the major multi-platform publications A Global Guide to Background Checks (Winner of the Managing Partners’ Forum Award 2017, for "Best Provision of Know-How to Clients"), A Global Guide to Retirement Plans & Schemes (shortlisted by the UK Pensions Awards 2018 for "Educational Initiative of the Year") and, most recently, A Global Guide to Employee Data Privacy.
Louise is experienced in advising clients on the full range of employment issues. She regularly comments on employment law developments and has contributed to a wide range of HR, legal and national publications. Louise has been interviewed on national radio about key employment law changes and has also co-written and edited an employment law book for HR and legal professionals. She has also presented at both employment law and PSL conferences.
