Policy Session

The Current Status of Tariffs and Global Tax Measures: This session will discuss tariffs and extra-territorial tax measures around the world. Panelists will provide an overview of the current tariff environment (with updates in the wake of the July 9 “reciprocity” deadline for the EU and other US trading partners), as well as budget reconciliation, related US tax legislation—including Section 899—and other global tax initiatives.

Practical Session

Key Transfer Pricing and Customs Considerations when Mitigating the Impact of Tariffs: This session will focus on actionable strategies for managing and mitigating the impact of new tariffs. Panelists will discuss various transfer pricing considerations to mitigate tariffs, supply-chain modification, and the first-sale rule, as well as other short- and mid-term considerations. Panelists will discuss how to best navigate and coordinate customs and tax compliance to ensure these strategies can be successful.
