Mayer Brown announced that the firm has been named to Global Investigations Review (GIR)’s “GIR 30” list, which identifies the top 30 global investigations practices as part of its annual “GIR 100” guide to the world’s leading cross-border investigations firms. This marks the sixth consecutive year that the firm has been named to the list.

The publication highlighted the firm’s extensive regulatory, investigations and enforcement capabilities, including its work on the landmark Société Générale settlement – the first-ever US and French joint bribery resolution.

In addition, GIR cited Mayer Brown’s recent strategic hires. The firm welcomed five former federal prosecutors in recent years, including Gina Parlovecchio, Michael Levy, Jason Linder, Glen Kopp and Daniel Stein.

With offices throughout the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, Mayer Brown’s global investigations team includes former government officials and compliance lawyers with decades of experience representing companies and individuals on a wide range of multinational investigations and litigation. The team advises on matters involving the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other global anti-corruption efforts, internal investigations, DOJ/SEC or foreign investigations and enforcement proceedings, and also offers complementary cross-practice capabilities across related risk and compliance areas, including Antitrust & Competition, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy, Export Control & Sanctions, among others.

Based on extensive research, GIR editors ranked the 30 top firms through a rigorous vetting process in which firms are evaluated across eight categories, including former government enforcers and global reach, with a particular focus on the depth and breadth of investigations handled by the firms within the last two years.

GIR is a news service providing comprehensive coverage of the law and practice of international investigations.
