London — Mayer Brown today announced that two projects lawyers, Kirsti Massie and Meredith Campanale, have been recruited as partners in the firm's global Banking & Finance practice in London. Both lawyers will join the firm from White & Case.

"The recruitment of Kirsti and Meredith marks an important step in the development and expansion of our projects and infrastructure capabilities across our offices," said Paul Astolfi, a partner and co-head of the Global Projects group at Mayer Brown. "Mayer Brown has a reputation for advising on complex and innovative finance structures for projects around the world, particularly those in the energy sector. We look forward to welcoming two partners whose talents reflect this strength and our growth ambitions for project finance in London and markets beyond."

She has considerable experience in power projects, both traditional thermal generation and those involving renewable technologies. Instructed by project sponsors, developers and financial institutions, Kirsti has advised on numerous new and existing projects in jurisdictions around the world. Her advisory work on renewable projects includes wind farm, solar and biomass developments.  Kirsti served as global head of the Power Industry group at White & Case.

Meredith advises on multi-sourced financings in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including those involving credit agencies, development finance institutions and multilateral agencies. She has acted for both lenders and sponsors on projects across a variety of jurisdictions.

"We continue to invest for growth across a number of product and industry areas in London, which is also a key financial center for projects and project finance. Having a strong team dedicated to this market is a strategic priority for us at a time when we are seeing a growth in client demand," said Dominic Griffiths, a partner and co-head of the global Banking & Finance practice at Mayer Brown. "The recruitment of Kirsti and Meredith is well-timed.
