Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific has ranked Mayer Brown and a number of its Hong Kong and Singapore partners in its 2018 ranking. Notably, it honored six of the practice’s lawyers as “Dispute Resolution Stars”:
- Commercial and Transactions (International Firms): John Hickin, Thomas So, Nick Hunsworth and Alan Linning. Vincent Law was recognized as a “Future Star” in this category
- International Arbitration: Yu-Jin Tay
The publication also awarded the firm a Tier 1 ranking in the “Insolvency (International Firms)” category and a Tier 2 ranking in the “Commercial and Transactions (International Firms)” category, both in Hong Kong. In International Arbitration, Mayer Brown is named “Active Firm” in both locations.
John Hickin, partner and co-head of the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, said, “We are delighted that six of our lawyers have been named as ‘Dispute Resolution Stars’ and that our practice has been ranked highly across a number of our focus areas. The rankings are a fitting tribute to the performance of our practice in the region and the professionalism of our lawyers. Over the years, we have provided litigation advice on some of Asia’s most challenging cases and established a proven and proud track record of success for our clients. We look forward to continuing the momentum in the year ahead.”
