11 June 2012
Mayer Brown Legal Update
The United States is currently party to 48 Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs), including seven that have been signed but not yet ratified. We review BITs, in general, the status of BIT discussions with the BRIC nations, the new US Model BIT and the prospective effect of Bolivia’s recent decision to terminate its BIT with the United States.
