Securities and Exchange Commission Amends Rules to Implement Registration Requirements of JOBS Act and FAST Act

On May 3, 2016, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) adopted amendments to the registration, termination of registration and suspension of reporting requirements of rules under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 in order to implement provisions of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act) and the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act). This Legal Update discusses the amendments, which will become effective 30 days after publication in the Federal Register, and practical considerations for companies in light of these changes.
