Relaxation of the Requirement to File for Insolvency

24 October 2008 - On 17 October 2008, the German Parliament, in response to the current crisis in the financial markets, passed new legislation, which came into force on 18 October 2008, amending, inter alia, parts of the German Insolvency Code. In certain cases, these amendments have lead to a relaxation of the obligation to file for insolvency.
