10 March 2008 - On December 21, 2007, in one of the rare standalone travel and entertainment Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (''FCPA'') cases, the Securities and Exchange Commission (''SEC'' or the ''Commission'') and the Department of Justice (''Justice Department'') filed and settled charges against Lucent Technologies, Inc. (''Lucent''), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent, a French company with headquarters in Paris.
