White House Releases Online Privacy Paper

The White House has released a report titled Consumer Data Privacy in a Networked World: A Framework for Protecting Privacy and Promoting Innovation in the Global Digital Economy, detailing the Obama administration’s framework to protect the online privacy rights of individuals. The framework consists of four main elements, one of which is the creation of a Consumer Privacy Bill of Rights. We summarize the framework and review the proposed privacy rights.
