Spring 2008 - Employers will be relieved to know that the Government has decided to abolish the unpopular statutory disciplinary and grievance procedures which came into force in 2004. The Employment Bill, which contains the relevant provisions, is currently making its way through Parliament and it is expected that the procedures will be abolished in April 2009.
