EU Batteries Directive – have you complied with your obligations?

A new regime governing the supply of batteries (or products containing them) within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) came into force in 2006 under the EU Batteries Directive. The regime can affect anyone involved in the batteries supply chain wherever they are based. This includes overseas companies who operate within EEA markets.
