Derivative claims in the US and the UK

Since February 2007, a large number of credit crisis related actions have been filed in the US (more than 150 at last count), of which a substantial number involve derivative claims. Derivative claims are brought by shareholders in the name of the company, typically against the company’s current or former directors.
