CFI declines to extend rules on privilege to cover in-house lawyers

September 2007 - The rules on legal professional privilege (“LPP”) in EC competition law were clarified – but not fundamentally changed - on 17 September 2007, when the Court of First Instance (the “CFI”) handed down its eagerly-awaited judgment in Akzo Nobel v Commission.
