Advocate-General rejects Heyday

24 September 2008 - The Advocate-General, senior adviser to the European Court of Justice (ECJ), yesterday published his Opinion concluding that current British law which allows employers to compel workers to retire at 65 is not automatically discriminatory, as a rule like that could in principle be objectively justified in its national context.
