Bill has represented numerous Fortune
500 companies in patent infringement cases in federal district court and before the US International Trade Commission, in matters involving a diverse array of technologies, including LCD displays, semiconductors, wireless network communications, GPS navigation systems, smart TVs, relational databases, voice recognition technology, and automotive heating and cooling systems. In connection with several of his cases, Bill has represented clients in Inter Partes
and covered business method review proceedings before the US Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
Bill is also a registered patent attorney, and has prepared and prosecuted dozens of patent applications relating to various technologies, such as wireless network communications, computer software and hardware, electromechanical devices, business methods, and clean energy. Bill has also drafted patentability opinions relating to various types of electrical devices and systems.
Bill also has experience counseling companies on intellectual property matters, such as trademark registration and licensing.
In 2014 and 2015, Bill was selected as a Washington DC "Rising Star" in intellectual property by Super Lawyers Magazine
