Wendy practices in the insurance and reinsurance group of the London office as Of Counsel. She is a coverage lawyer, with extensive experience advising insurers and reinsurers on complex and high-value claims under, in particular, reinsurance contracts (facultative and treaty), and D&O, political risk, civil liability and crime polices. She regularly advises on issues such as non-disclosure, aggregation, attachment, change of control, inspection rights, conditions precedent and the application of policy exclusions. Wendy helps clients resolve issues through negotiation, commutation, arbitration, mediation and court proceedings.

Before joining Mayer Brown, Wendy practiced for eight years with the insurance and reinsurance group of another international law firm. A Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, she has many years of industry experience in insurance and reinsurance operations, including positions as Run-off Manager, Special Projects Unit, Trade Indemnity plc (1994-1995) and as a financial risks underwriter with Sun Alliance & London Insurance plc (1978-1991).

In 1991, she won the Chartered Insurance Institute Boleslaw Monic Reinsurance Prize and the London Insurance Institute Reinsurance Group Prize for her Fellowship exams. Legal 500 2010 notes that she has "very good technical reinsurance knowledge, blended with legal acumen". The 2009 edition notes that she "has the ability to 'manage claims in the best possible way'".
