Tristan Propst represents both major financial institutions, as administrative agents, arrangers and lenders, and corporate borrowers in a variety of finance transactions, including secured and unsecured commercial transactions, first lien/second lien transactions, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, project finance transactions, structured transactions, restructuring transactions, and cross-border transactions, with a particular emphasis on finance transactions in the oil and gas, coal, pipeline and other energy-related industries.

Tristan has been ranked by Chambers USA since 2009 and is ranked in Band 1 for Banking and Finance in Texas since 2018. Chambers USA 2020 notes that Tristan “incredibly detail-oriented and is always willing to take the time to explain things. He is really great for complicated transactions." Chambers USA 2019 notes that he is “an expert in his field, responsive and thoughtful," according to clients. He also was consistently named as a “Texas Rising Star” (Super Lawyer, 2004-2007).” Prior to joining Mayer Brown, he served as a judicial clerk for the Court of Appeals of Georgia (1995).
