Robert Kriss has represented some of the world's largest technology, financial services and manufacturing companies in complex commercial, class action and intellectual property litigation. Bob has substantial experience with disputes arising in the context of information technology, financial services, real estate and securities transactions.
Bob has an impressive record securing summary judgments, dismissals and settlements of securities and consumer class actions and commercial lawsuits. For example, he has successfully represented AOL and TD Ameritrade in class action litigation involving e-commerce and has represented both suppliers and customers in high stakes information technology outsourcing and software development disputes. In addition, Bob has defended companies in class action litigation arising from data breaches and advises clients concerning the development of written information security plans, data breach response plans and in responding to data breaches. Bob also has successfully tried many cases before judges, juries and arbitrators. For example, Bob recently secured an international arbitration award in a real estate development dispute valued at more than $80 million dollars.
Bob joined Mayer Brown in 1978.
