Robert C. Double

Robert Double is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown’s Los Angeles office. He has extensive experience handling complex disputes, particularly involving the real estate, financial services, insurance, food and beverage, and telecommunications industries.

In his real estate and financial services practice, he advises and represents lenders, investors, property owners, asset managers, and commercial tenants in real property matters, including leasing, foreclosure, construction, insurance, and civil rights matters involving the Fair Housing Act. He also represents financial institutions in disputes involving residential mortgage-backed securities and loan servicing practices, and insurers in complex coverage disputes.

Robert also has experience representing and advising clients in employment matters, including with regard to wage-and-hour class actions, and discrimination and wrongful termination claims.

Robert received his JD from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. While attending law school, he participated in the UCLA Supreme Court Clinic and served as senior editor of the UCLA Law Review. He also worked as a faculty research assistant and externed for the Honorable Jesse G. Reyes of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chancery Division.
