Nicolas Cassauba is a Registered Foreign Lawyer within the Antitrust & Competition team of Mayer Brown JSM in Hong Kong. His practice covers both behavioural and transactional matters in relation to national or larger scale transnational procedures.

Nicolas has advised on a wide range of competition law and regulation issues for high profile clients and industry associations. He touches on behavioural abuses (e.g., cartels, information exchanges and abuses of dominance) as well as compliance, investigations and enforcement actions, corporate governance and vertical agreements. He also has significant experience on the merger front and has guided clients through complex transactions both before the European Commission, MOFCOM and other national authorities around the globe.

His experience stretches across various industry sectors, including transport, construction, hospitality, employment, telecommunications, energy, retail and chemicals.

Nicolas has followed closely the implementation of the Competition Ordinance in Hong Kong and has advised clients on a wide range of compliance issues in relation to the First and Second Conduct Rules. He also gained significant experience in setting up and deploying compliance programmes and training for diverse industry groups.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown JSM in Hong Kong. Nicolas practiced within the antitrust department of a number of international law firms in Paris, Brussels and London. Nicolas is fluent in French, English and Italian.
