Nicola Thomson is a senior associate in the Employment practice of the London office. Nicola joined Mayer Brown in March 2006 as a trainee, and qualified into the Employment practice in March 2008.
She concentrates on advising employers on all aspects of employment law, including redundancy and restructuring programmes, dismissals, disciplinary and grievances procedures, ad hoc employee relations queries, drafting and negotiating employment contracts and settlement agreements and employment litigation. She also provides employment support for Mayer Brown’s Corporate Group which includes the preparation of employment due diligence reports and advice on the employment aspects of corporate transactions and documentation. She regularly provides training for clients on current topics of interest in employment law. She also represents and advises senior employees.
She has worked on numerous multi-jurisdictional projects. Such projects have included the project management of employment advice relating to business transfers across 21 jurisdictions and advice in connection with redundancies taking place in 25 jurisdictions. She has also provided advice in relation to international secondment issues.
