Michelle Dohra is a counsel at Mayer Brown. Michelle’s diverse practice includes extensive experience with property and transfer tax planning and analysis, as well as general and commercial litigation. Her property tax experience includes multi-state ad valorem tax litigation, real and personal property valuation and tax appeals, tax abatement, real estate tax sale, delinquency and tax exemption litigation. She also has significant transfer tax litigation experience and has devised tax management and reduction strategies on multiple real estate fund transactions.
Michelle also represents national corporations, banks and mortgage lenders in complex litigation, with emphasis in financial services. Her work includes class action defense, contract disputes, title insurance disputes, condemnation and eminent domain actions. On behalf of lenders and financial service clients, her work in class actions and other disputes includes defense of consumer fraud, Equal Credit Opportunity Act claims, Home Affordable Modification Program claims, and Truth-in-Lending Act claims.
