Melissa Kilcoyne is a senior associate in the Banking & Finance practice. She has experience structuring complex securitization and other financing transactions across a wide variety of asset classes, including retail auto loans and leases, dealer floorplan loans, student loans, credit card receivables and more esoteric asset classes such as solar assets.
Melissa focuses her practice on representing issuers, sponsors, underwriters and initial purchasers in public and private asset-backed securitizations, including guiding clients through the shelf registration process with the Securities and Exchange Commission. She also has experience representing borrowers and lenders in establishing asset-backed debt financing facilities.
In addition, Melissa regularly advises clients in connection with regulatory developments and reforms that affect participants in the structured finance markets, including the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the FDIC’s Safe Harbor Rule, Rules 17g-5 and 15G of the Securities Exchange Act and amendments to Regulation AB.
