Louis Balocca is a Litigation and Dispute Resolution associate in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC office. His practice focuses on motion drafting, as well as factual development in anticipation of trials or government investigations. Louis also assists clients with policy and legal reform at the state and federal level by monitoring agency actions and drafting comment letters.
During law school, Louis worked at the University of Chicago’s Police Accountability Project as well as for its Federal Criminal Justice Clinic. While there, Louis conducted the deposition of an adverse witness, as well as a direct examination in a jury trial for false arrest and First Amendment retaliation.
Before law school, Louis was an associate at ASGK Public Strategies (now Kivvit Public Affairs), a public affairs firm that specializes in government affairs campaigns at the local, state, and federal level.
