Laura Babinsky is an associate in the Chicago office of Mayer Brown’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Her practice is focused on the defense of corporations in product-liability, antitrust and complex commercial litigation matters. She has participated in arbitrations involving claims for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
Laura has briefed and argued successful motions at various stages in litigation, including dispositive and discovery-related motions. She has also efficiently and successfully handled discovery for clients, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, preparing witnesses for and defending depositions, and managing document review and fact development. In addition, Laura regularly advises her clients on potential liability exposures in early stages of litigation.
Laura received a BS and BA from Indiana University and received her JD, cum laude, from the Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a comment editor on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a consultant for Accenture doing custom application functional design and development.
