Jin Ma is a Senior Associate of Mayer Brown JSM, qualified in both the United States and China. Jin has extensive experience in assisting clients for both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Jin is familiar with international trade, intellectual property and investment protection rules, advised MOFCOM on WTO consistency of certain policies maintained by China’s trading partners and represented MOFCOM in WTO dispute settlement proceedings. Jin represented many foreign exporters in major US and EU antidumping and countervailing duties cases, 337 investigations, and in US court litigations involving intellectual property and trade remedy matters. Jin follows developments in antitrust and foreign investment regulations, and gave presentations on antitrust and national security reviews on foreign investment.
In the area of corporate matters, Jin advised clients for acquisition of assets in China, joint venture formation with local partners, and equity investment in Chinese growth companies. Jin also has experience in company compliance matters, participated in internal investigations by multinational companies for their operations in China and elsewhere in Asia, and advised on internal compliance programs with respect to FCPA, export control and economic sanctions regulations.
